I have also files on the same day, how do you guys make out that your file have been trabsfered to texas and CSC, because my 140 was approved in texas and my attorney has sent the 485 to NSC , Thanks for you reply.

My employer is also behaving exactly similar way... Spend the money from your own Pocket ( 350 med + 385 ) around $750 and ask them to just
give the Future Employment Verification Letter for 485.
I'm finishing up all forms and other activities Like Medical , Birth Certificate etc..
After that pounce on your employer for Letter + the fees for 485 + fees for your own attorney fees ... If they disagrees come to a deal with just for the Letter... You are all set then !!
If they still dont agree i'll tell them that you are resigning and immigrating to Canada (Tell them that your Canadian PR is almost approved and you have a distant relative there)
Sounds like a Plan ? - Let me know !

When did u apply for your ead? i am in the same boat and have filed for paper based EAD. hope to get my fp notice soon.
I applied for my EAD and AP renewal on the second week of May 2008. Again, I am not sure if EAD or AP renewal triggered the FP notice. Good luck to you.

No I did not...the date before it was of back in 2008.
My PD is Jan-17-2006 at NSC.
I got another soft LUD today but no change to my 485 status.
What does this mean ? I already got my approved EAD card 2 weeks back and the only thing pending is the 485 application.

There is no wrong doing by DOS by changing the VB, but the timing is wrong. They should have changed it as soon as they released it or else atleast by 25th or 26th to prevent some damage.

I have a question about Landing with Own car? Is there a way to get around importing it? I want to use my own car but don't want to pay import fee etc. Did they charge you anything? How much was it? What else to expect, do you think you will have to take it to Canada Tire etc. for Federal appointment etc?

It is a hard fact but I guess I do not want to scare anyone. If you notice some people have got their JuLY 2ND filed cases receipt # and most of them have a Notice date of 08/04/2007 (the guys who got their receipt #). This notice date is the day the Receipt was generated. So today is 08/13/2007. It seems that USCIS is delaying this process of issuing receipts as that will give them a chance to reject applications after 17th. So I guess we should brace ourselves for rejection notices also......

I have a unique position. couple of weeks back I was told that have fatal cancer and won't live pass 4-6 months. After recovering from initial shock I am wondering if my wife will be able to continue her american dream or she will have to head home after me.
I have filed 485 with approved 140 back in june, 2007 with PD of March, 2003
Please help.

I have done some research and the closest thing that I came across is as below: BUT PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS FOR a NON-CITIZEN applying for AOS based on getting married to US CITIZEN. I think there should be some sort of WAIVER for non-immigrant derivatives category as well.

Waiver of joint petition requirement: If the marriage has terminated by reason of divorce, death of citizen spouse, or spousal abuse, the non-citizen spouse may apply for a waiver of the joint petition requirement.
