I think you need to do a reality check on your leadership and mobilizing skills. The reason you cant find even 10 people who support your ideas should tell you something. You have to convince people who oppose your ideas in a logical way, so they see some sense in what you are trying to achieve. If you cannot convince people who oppose you with logical answers you wont find much support as a community from IV. I think people like eb3_nepa have every right to question your actions and intentions and if you cannot respond to healthy dialogue, dont expect people to support your cause. You have to give respect to gain respect.
I personally support your cause about FIFO processing but you need to broaden it beyond EB2 to the entire EB community. It seems to me you have managed to gain such a notorious reputation that people are opposed to anything you have to say :) Its like a HR hiring manager saying to you, you are brilliant but you dont have the right attitude, so we dont need you.

However, keeping this concern in mind that may prevent some members from supporting, i have removed the email ID and ph# column from the public spreadsheet. I will maintain a separate spreadsheet with list of email ID's and ph# so that we can get in touch as soon as it is time for some real action.

got my receipts today.
Case Details:
i-485/EAD/AP sent on 7/25 and reached NSC on 7/26 for my self and my wife.
i-140 still pending at NSC.
Got the receipts for all 6 cases from lawyer today.
i-485 for me and my wife got transfered to TSC and pending.
Case status shows Received on 7/26 and EAD approved for me and my wife from TSC on 09/26.
AP pending in TSC.

I landed in Jan08 thru Windsor border in Michigan. I drove in my car to CA. You'll go to the immigration officer who'll check your landing docs, and then ask you to sign the landing document. Then show them the proof of funds. I had a cashier's check for the amount. Then you'll be asked for an address in CA. If asked tell them you are planning to settle at the address. If you say you are returning to US, they'll not give you the PR card saying when you come to live in CA they'll issue it. I made that mistake. They stamp your passport with the entry stamp. Without a PR card you can't enter CA at an airport. Your only option is driving to CA thru a land border. They'll let you in with just the stamp on the PP. Fortunately I live close to Windsor border.
As someone pointed out, you'll then go to customs, where they'll check the goods you are bringing or plan to bring later. There are 2 different forms for 'bringing goods with you' and 'goods to follow'. Make sure you fill in all the item in your home on the 'goods to follow' with some details like model number, etc. If you are not planning to live to CA, don't fill anything on the 'bringing goods form.

I've started half fantasizing, half planning a better life outside the states. I think of everything in my life that could change for the better: more vacation, more travel, less of the neurotic american fear based mentality, more sun and summer, more time closer to my home country and relatives.
I plan to stay here for the long haul, since I've been with my american life partner for 8 years (no GC for gay couples, though!), own property here, etc. But it helps with alleviating feelings of depression to remind myself that I actually do have options in life, and that I am not just a victim of an unfair immigration system.

FYI I received my EAD card this morning!!! I know yours are all coming soon! It never updated online it just said that the approval notice was sent- it never said card ordered.

Soilders returning from voilent conflicts have the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder( PTSD ) also called as Shell Shock . I coin this term "Pre Green card Stress disorder". or Pre Green Card SHock.
Dr Sanjay Gupta who seems be an immigrant himself has spent lots of hours researching "Shell shock " maybe we should send him this new term to research .
And last but not the least , Relax . Staying here is not the end of the world .We came here we tried very hard , if God forbid we fail . I personally do not mind one bit to go back to my motherland . Remember if US is teh present then India is the Past and India will be the future . Thats where all the action is now and will be in the future .
Sorry If my last paragraphs hurt the feelings of any die hard members . I was just expressing my way to reduce the tension and stress that is associated with the GC process .

Your case is like me, except I am porting Priority date from my previous approved I-140 Eb3 case. Your new I-140 transferred to Texas Service centre because your employer comes under Texas Service centre. Your residency location also comes under Texas service centre. So you will receive I-485, I-765 and I-131 with SRC numbers. But it may take longer time.
Good thing is Texas Service center is processing I-140 applications in May 2007. Max they are taking 5 months. People are discussing about LUD, it doesn't matter. It seems Texas service centre doing some regular maintenance. If you register your old approved H1s, their LUDs also changing.

No, we have not tried calling yet. Both are on H1, so just have EAD for just peace of mind. Do let us know what you hear from the customer service.

Folks, here is what I am able to gather by self employment
(1) One can be self employed
(2) 1099 or w2 - kinda tricky - most people I talked to do w2 and any profits they get after they take their salary are bonuses
(3) The job has to be legitimate - in the same or similar category - you must be doing duties that are similar in nature to your 140 petition
(4) What is meant by legitimate is - you must simply not be doing "nothing" - there must be income and you must be doing your duties.
Correct me if I am wrong

I filed 485/EAD/AP on May 31st and TSC received on June 1st. My checks haven't been cleared yet. TSC is said to be the slowest one. In a chinese forum, several people whose PD became current on June 1st got 485 approved recently. Their cases were all transferred to NSC recently.
BTW, how long will it take to get EAD? I sort of remember that it takes at most 3 months.

My status on CRIS has changed. No emails. Its says my approval has been sent. But nothing about the card. I spoke to the CS and they said my biometrics have to be uploaded. In the mean time can I get my passport stamped?.

I have been thinking in similar lines for quite sometime now. I have decided to wait till September 2012 to see if dates reach my PD which is October 2007.
If not i am strongly looking at New Zealand too...At least for me i want to work/live in a western country as locums and relax in India when i am off...I dont see myself working in India full time, at least not at this point.
This may not work for most folks but being in Health Care, i have this option.
