I was plannig to go to Canada to take care of the landing formalities, but happened to visit this website, http://www.notcanada.com.
The details provided in the site is really scary. Though we keep Canadian PR as back up, after seeing this, I am wondering do I really need to go for landing.

There was no discussion on invoking AC21 where the salary is lower than specified in LC. For example wages for LC filed in bay area will be higher than other places and if one wishes to move to work location where prevaling wages are lower compare with original LC location. What would USCIS position on this since AC21 does not talk about work location.

Ok. My bad. I was using lame duck as an example. I'm not hoping anything on the lame duck session.
My question is/was, how long it takes for a bill(passed) to be effective. Is there a timeline within which President has to sign it? Once he signs it how long does it take become effective?
PS: I was guessing, I'm not sure of the 90 days time period.

I got a response from Tier2 officer that there are no Visa numbers available. She was pretty pissed that there hell a lot of indians calling and was close to making it racial. She read from a report that DOS sent to USCIS (page 31 is what she quoted) where she said there are no Visa numbers available. I am assuming its for this month.

I applied for my EAD and AP renewal on the second week of May 2008. Again, I am not sure if EAD or AP renewal triggered the FP notice. Good luck to you.

Your points well taken. However all the arguments you are saying about H1B is the practical way employers do their hiring. However as per law they cannot discriminate based on immigration status including H1B. Employers cannot even ask the candidate to have a particular type of work authorization.
Let me ask you a straight question -
Are you suggesting the employer is required, by law, to file for H-1B sponsorship for the job applicant?

I AM going to face them, confront them, demand them to provide justice, if not I want them to REFUND every penny i have paid so far. If this "I AM" becomes "WE", half the battle won. It is illigal for an employee to pay for the GC process.

maybe there are not enough EB3- I cases in the queue ;) ..well one of my friends did get his GC during last fiasco ..eb3 - I, pd 2003. ofcourse there is no unity ..it is every man for himself (And hence save as much as you can while you enjoy life)..and hence don't worry too much ..GC will come when it has to (my friend told me that once ..and I found those words comforting) ...see few of the threads nearby ..people are content talking about dots (I guess since they know nothing will ever happen due to our actions :-) ..and I sort of agree).
I also guess there are not much cases of EB3 left, atleast till PD dec 2002. Jun filers who ever did not get their GC last summer or fall will be waiting.
