I just checked with the city, and San Jose police dept. they don't know about this event and haven't issued any permit for it. Fightnow, since you originated this thread, please post relevant info. as to who is organizing it.

The Police dept. said that as long as the traffic and pedestrian sidewalk are not blocked and there is no violence it is ok with them. Now only if I know who will issue the permit, that should do it.

Hi,
I had started the thread a while back and I am glad to tell that I finally got my FP notice and completed the FP process.
I had opened a SR on Nov 5th after filing I-485 in July (receipt date Jul 23rd). I got a standard notice in Dec first week indicating that they shall schedule a FP notice when there is an opening available at ASC ( I guess a standard reply from what I have read in the posts). I then took an info pass on Dec 8th and it was also a seemingly non fruitful visit.
Finally on Jan 2nd I got a voice mail at work from attorney (dated Dec 26th) that my FP appt was on Dec 27th. I never got any notice to this effect till Jan 2nd in mail. Hence the attorney sent me his copy by FedEx and I drove the very next day (Jan 4th) to the ASC in Oakland, CA. I explained the situation and they were kind enough to schedule me the same day. The process was pretty straightforward, and was completed in about 10-15 minutes.
My spouse on the other hand did get her notice in mail and her FP appt is on Jan 11th.....
So am not sure what worked....the call to CS, taking an infopass, or just plan praying :)

My checks cashed. Mailed I485-EB2, EAD, AP on June 29th, reached USCIS - NSC on July 2nd 10:25 am by Fedex. Checks cashed on 8/3 - Still not be able to see the back side of the image for RD etc. My I-140 was approved last year from TSC.
I was expecting my case to be transfered rom NSC to TSC!!?? also NO lud on I-140 case so far.

Hello,
Don't like EB-3 dates...but looking at EB-2 dates, does this mean that from now on we will see only forward movement in EB-2 I/C dates?
If the first month of the new year didn't retrogress, would every month see a movement of week or two? Or keeping in great USCIS tradition, this is just another 'fluke'? ;)
Ya I presume your assumption is right regarding EB-2 forward movement. But on a whole the EB-2 India/China dates havent forwarded up to my predictions. But we could expect a steady and consistent movement of EB-2 India/China ahead.

We finally got the CPO email for my wife and I today morning.
Had done all the follow-up like SRs, Infopass, Congressman inquiry. Not sure what worked.
After 10 years, we are finally greened. I sincerely hope for everyone who is current to be greened in time.

I would request as whole us know that CIR will not comeup this yeat..I would request if there is any plan IV is mkaing in this regard. I dont think waiting until end of July and then proceed for new bill is good way...

We have received our cards without getting CPO email. I got email for welcome notice sent on 08/05 and then approval notice sent on 08/08..got cards on 08/11..hope this helps...

Looks like this is a good idea. Even if FB2 is not current, USCIS might allow applying for 485 in such cases.
Maybe someone more knowledgable or from the core members can throw some light on this.

So I went and downloaded all the FLCDataCenter.com (http://www.flcdatacenter.com/CasePerm.aspx) data from 2000 till 2008. It looks like they recorded all the pre �perm cases as well. After this I exported all the stuff into mysql table and made some calculation on the labor certification data. Unfortunately cannot separate (e1,e2,e3 etc � some may want to try by country but �)
Again this is PERM � labor certification!!1 - but has to do with GC I guess...
Time frame 1999 Oct -2008 Oct:
Sum of cases: 720486, like '%CERT%' = 554635 (certified), like '%Deni%'= 60043 (denials), (Non duplicate case numbers were = 715191 (i.e. 5295 duplicates only from the 720486) )
There were ~100000 cases with some other �state� descriptions like Withdrawn = 13955, Received Regional Office = 69556 etc;
Anyway, by grouped years it comes to (sum � certified + denials +etc):
