Everybody has been waiting for his/her green card and congratulations to all those who has got their GC. On the other hand it is really unfair and to some extent unethical on the part of USICS not follow a fair system.
There are several people in 2004, 2005 who have been paitently waiting for their turn only to see that people behind them getting approved.
Several of us have writtent to Ombudsman, Director but of no avail.
Not sure what else can be done? Any Idea? Do we have any liaison with AILA who can take up this matter.
Didn't someone took up the EB3->EB2 porting issue already; can't this issue be clubed along with it? ek teer se do shikar!!

Why don't posters on this forum move back to their home country and concentrate on making their home country great instead of slamming into someone else's country and just living off the wealth others have created?
The bottom line is that a SKIL act is not needed. Hundreds of thousands of American programmers have lost their job to the third world, both in outsourcing and insourcing of third world programmers who work for cheaper wages. There is absolutely no need for more foreigners here and no need for more green cards. Temporary workers are just that - temporary. If you are on a temporary visa, work your time, make some money for your family and head home when your time is up. Don't cry that we don't provide enough green cards when you knew what kind of visa you were on.

I dont *****ing care if they are under pressure... they still have to follow the guideliens.... just an analogy... just because ur under pressure to reach work on time... doesnt give you the liberty to speed... u still have to follow the speed limits... whatever.... i am just damn frustrated with this whole mess
Completely agree with you. What the heck is this... why not just assign the visa numbers to application as per their PD and then see if the case can be instantly approved or needs more investigation.

Hi,
My I140 was approved from TSC, and 485 sent to NSC (delivered on Jul 24, 2007). Still no receipt, but I140 has the LUD as Jul 28, 2007. Just hope that this means transfer to TSC on Jul 28. Any opinions?

I have PD of Dec 2005 and I140 approved in June 2006 from TSC. Filed 485 on July 3rd .checks not cashed yet neither received the Receipt notice. Called up and lady checked the system and my 485 app is not in the system. She told me to call around 20th to check the status. What are they cooking ? I am not sure.

Immigration-law.com just reported that "As reported by the USCIS, the Service Centers are currently experiencing the receipting frontlogs. In some cases, there are frontlog of 45 days or longer...".

Exemption of a qualified alien from the availability of visa numbers. So yes, you can file for 485 however unavailable EB2/3/1 visa numbers are.
And I agree with the previous poster that should this SKIL ever pass, it does not matter under which category your employer filed your LC, you are able to go ahead and file for AOS with a post-graduate US STEM degree.

There are still lots of cases in eb3 from back that far.
Many of the eb3 245i cases; there dependents were outside USA. Once; they got greencards; then their dependents went for consular processing or are going for consular processing.

Been in the US since 1998, have an EB-2 PD of 2001, have played by the rules all along. Still no GC... And, the dates are going back to 2000 from the new year.. I've lost hopes...

I would not say this is nice way to feel good but that is the qucikest thing

and faith. Yes, you do not have GC so I also do not have GC. I do not
have assets like what Bill Gates or Anil Ambani has. So now I get a good
reason to depress and feel hopeless. Should I start feeling depressed?
I'm pretty close to getting clinical depression because of this game played by USCIS, Labor Dept, FBI and my own bad luck.
SKILL bill, OMNIBUS, etc. comes and goes. IV does seem to be doing things to lobby for the community, but let's face one reality. Like a news article said, no one in congress or senate wants to touch immigration even with a long pole until 2009.

What is your application PD and Category?
My priorty date is 17th Jan 2003 Eb3(2)-India.
485 filed on 31st july 2007.
I also got a lud on my I-140 on 27th of july 2008. It is an approved I-140.
Has anyone else gotten a lud on their I-140 also ?

Sorry to hear this news , one of my friend has the same situvation. he went back to indian (chenni Appolo) 2 years back.
Here doctors told him all BS and he spent abt 50k out of his pocket on top the insurance (he work for IBM as Full time). he was told that 2 more months so he went back to india and his parents did giveup and they went to take a secound openion he is perfectly allright now he said he will never come back to usa (some unique bactiria causes some kind of cancer i have no clue about what he told me that time and i dont remember exactly contact him raviselvam@yahoo.com or raviselvam@yahoo.co.in if you cant get hold of him contact me bhimireddy@gmail.com i will try to reach him i should have his contact info. hopd you will recover soon

Talk about your scare of getting too many people with substandard MS degrees. Do you not realize that the companies in USA knows a different in good US school and Bad one - So in nutshell the people from bad school wont get job? So in case you are fit enough and qualified enough to get a job then you will get one, it does not matter if you are from good or bad school....

Ombudsman - There is a questionmark on Senthil1's origination but we have no such doubt about yours.. You are definitely a MOLE in this IV Organization and the only reason they keep you on board is because this is democracy and we dont want to throw out someone who might disagree - Its about freedom of expression - But when Freedom of expression crosses the line and creates poison pill then we need to weed it out I guess.....
In any case, I would definitely like to challenge your argument about 400 anti: 1 pro immigration calls. Are you aware of Avertising world rule that when someone does not like soemthing, they tend to tell at least 25 people about it, while when someone likes something, they might tell 1 person. In this case, this classic rule has applied beyond expectations because people who are calling are already racist who sit on their ass and expect all colored people to be their slaves and get things done for them. They want their mexican maid or indian computer programmer doing things for them but the moment they realize that these foreigners might get citizenship and be equal to them, they dont like that.... (and so do you)....So there you go....No wonder they pick up phone and dial....In any case, what better can they do?
We cannot reject numbersusa and other organizartion's ideas. As our people are suffering in retrogession some of their people and their families are impacted because of job loss in past. Not sure about the GreenCard Application because the link is not working. However, USCIS has shown significant improvement in handling H1B application for this year. They conducted lottory for 163K application in just one week and also honoring the premium processing timeframe.
