How does it matter now?. Whether the mess was caused by desi companies alone or with the help of some guys who got H1 for their wife , brother, mother and the local policeman who learned SAP in a week, the damage is already done.

Can an employer revoke the I-140 after 180 days of I-485 pending?
Yes. However, AC-21 can save the I-485 for the beneficiary even if I-140 is revoked/canceled as long as the date of such request is dated after 180 calendar days of I-485 filing date.

At least Bush Administration was sympathetic to our cause. Everyone knows that this is a congressional fix but alteast Bush never came up with those anti-H1b policies to destabilize people in GC queue. Now these numbers have retrogressed in month of June when historically this has never happened. Obama is trying to woo people at the cost of Indian community.
Everyone knows Durban & how he has lately tried to screw Indian community and Obama is a good friend of Durban. Now Democrats are in majority , why have they not fought for your cause ? There was an idiot congressman in IV Dc rally who was talking about making all illegals legal from IV stage. So what else u can expect ?

I have only seen one person get through background check in the last year. That was through senator intervention. Person got approved (it was a premium processing case). companies generally do not want to go throgh senator/congressmen intervention due to fear of tweaking uscis.
Since his 140 is approved then he is not subject to the quota. However; he could just wait or file another h-1b with another comany. If he asks for I-94 card then uscis could ask for maintaining status. He is in what is considered a "bridge period". that is when I-94 card expires; you are legally here but if you fle an h-1b with another company then they shouldn't approve the second h-1b until the first one is approved (uscis doesn't always do this). Sometimes they approve the second one. However; if the first one gets denied then you wuld not be considered in "status" from date I-94 card expired until second companies h-1b got approved with I-94 card (would have greencard implications later).

Thanks Zooom, for starting this thread. I've mentioned about IV Core's selfless service in our 'Thanks' thread couple of days ago but didn't know about the magnitude. $64k is helluva money and its just not right coming from one pocket to favor thousands of others. Aman and other core, day by day you raise above and beyond our imaginations as a leader and guide. We assure you that you will not pay another single dime from your pocket.
I pledge $100 to Reimburse the core team now and more later.
Although the thread title says "Reimburse the core team" and I know that the core team will not take any money (and do not expect the memebrs to reimburse them) from the fund that we are planning on creating here...Stilll by contributing to this fund we can make sure that core does not have to bear any out of pocket personal expense in future while working on "our" goal.
Lets see how many of us are actually inetested in contributing. Once we have the number we can set a realistic goal and divide amongst ourselves.
For that I suggest we give this thread good two days to develop and check other members responses...
So here is a chance for everyone to contribute to our own goal. Lets keep this going. Who ever is interested pls reply. I will do a final count after 2 days as suggested and take it from there....

We in the core team know this and when we see the kind of contributions we get from members, we feel disappointed that our efforts are not valued. When we started the $20 contributions people felt $20 was too high and wanted $10 per month or less. The kind of work and effort that is needed to push a single provision is phenomenal and needs lot of capital. The more the better. Sometimes reading posts that say IV core is selfish also disappoints us. People do not know the effort that goes in getting anything done. This website is simply a tool for us to communicate to everyone. The big effort is the lobbying work. Hello friends,
I was wondering about the FP notice time frame. I had applied for 485/EAD/AP on July 2nd at NSC which later got transferred to TSC. Receipts indicate that notice date is 8/27.
I was wondering how many days does it take to get FP notice from the 485 notice date? data indicates that some of the TSC guys who have notice dates of 8/29 have already got their FP notices scheduled for mid september.

3. Changing of GC employer - Please note that you can change your GC employer even without changing job, just by getting job offer from new employer, as GC job is for job starting after I-485 approval.
Do not confuse existing H-1B job with future GC job.
H-1B is linked to LCA (Temp Job) (http://www.foreignlaborcert.doleta.gov/h-1b.cfm) Note: The link clearly says

My attorney sent my case on 05/31 via Fedex to NSC to reach by 06/01.so far no receipt received per my attorney.she has written the checks for me.I may have to wait and see.
