Should we do call the sponsor of this act? The dream act supporters list the senators that are on the fence, and urge them to call and I think we need to start call the main players like Reid, Schumer, Menendez to get them behind our provisions. Calling Durbin is probably will not work but we never know, thanks

I did try to talk to customer care but it was of no help.
They tell me to wait for 30 days and sometime 60-90days.
They say you will become actual permanent resident when you get the card The card is important.
You now USCIS don’t know when they will change their minds.
To better be on safe side to get it stamped on my passport. I took info pass on 09-11-08 it will be almost 30 days,
let’s wait and see
approved on 8-12-08

On July 25th lawyer sent my documents 140 & 485 concurrent, PD port from previous I-140 approval (approved at Nebraska).
Reached Nebraska Service Centre on July 26th.
Will it be processed at Nebraska Service centre or Texas Service centre? According to new direct filing instructions my employer and my residence comes under Texas Service centre.

For all those who are waiting...I would suggest one more thing, if your file is not touched. My lawyer had sent an email to NSC on Aug 2. I believe that along with my SR might have done the trick.....Sheela Murthy was my lawyer....that too might have helped....Who know what works....but we can all try.....Hope all who are stuck, get their GC by end of this month.

Yes...A thorough lawyer does this. I am very happy with my lawyer too. She was diligent and thorough...She sent a letter to TSC on the day our cases became current. She also attaches copies of CIS Memos (if applicable) when filing for extensions, reinstatements, etc. so that the IO does not raise RFEs indiscriminately...Once we got our GCs, she sent a long letter regarding Dos and Don'ts after getting Cards

No worries sathweb.. We all are in the same situation and at times things happen. Our mission is one: GC or no GC, we also deserve peace of mind. GC is just a means, not the final destination. :)

That's nice to hear. Can he guess what would be the likely outcome? If the judge just takes USCIS/DOS to task then it doesn't help us.
1. Will they make the July visa bulletin current again?
2. If not, will they allow everyone to file for EAD and AP?
3. If neither #1 nor #2, will there be any financial reimbursement?

Don't know if its for two years or one year.

I did and I got a response in mail saying there are extremely high volume of cases filed before me, that is why it is taking time.
Did you try Ombudsman route? It may take a few more weeks, I guess it is worth a try.

It is a hard fact but I guess I do not want to scare anyone. If you notice some people have got their JuLY 2ND filed cases receipt # and most of them have a Notice date of 08/04/2007 (the guys who got their receipt #). This notice date is the day the Receipt was generated. So today is 08/13/2007. It seems that USCIS is delaying this process of issuing receipts as that will give them a chance to reject applications after 17th. So I guess we should brace ourselves for rejection notices also......
Keep your chin up, guys. You have to understand that there must have been a large number of applications arriving in the USCIS basket. Things will take time - so will the receipts. Do not lose hope.
Why worry about things for which you have no control on? You certainly can control your actions. Maybe contribute to IV in money, time etc PLUS also show up at the rally and sign up a bunch of your friends. Action is the only solution to Worry. :)

The case should not have been accepted if the lady does not have constitutional rights. Lets see if they reject the case on this basis after listening to Tancredo.

Getting a letter is not a big deal. What if I am a full time consultant in that company?
consultant does not consitute employer-employee relationship. This WILL NOT satisfy the full time permanant employment.
